IMG_9246Sarah is a doctoral candidate studying public policy and administration at the University of Kentucky Martin School. Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, Sarah also completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, earning degrees in Philosophy, Spanish, and minoring in Political Science. Before returning to UK for her MPA and subsequent doctoral studies, she lived in Madison, Wisconsin, working as a project manager and implementation consultant for a leading healthcare software company.

Her current work explores the impacts governance arrangements have on social outcomes in state and local governments. Other research interests include: social policy, inequality and poverty, intergovernmental relations, policy learning and evidence usage in the policy process.
